Mrs. Veronica D. Gainey

My name is Veronica Gainey and I am the School Counselor at McLaurin Elementary School. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Limestone University and a Master of Education in School Counseling from Cambridge College. I became a School Counselor in 2011. 

My focus is individual and small group counseling as well as large group/classroom guidance lessons. The classroom lessons will be based on American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Mindsets and Behaviors for student success, which incorporates the  three broad domains of academic, career and social /emotional development. I am looking forward to working with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to help all students be successful and develop into productive citizens.  Please contact me if I can be of assistance.

Ms. Dempewolf

Hi! My name is Dana Dempewolf. This is my 19th year at McLaurin and I love helping the students in our McLaurin family.  In addition to being a  School-based Therapist, I am also a Certified Leadership Parenting Coach. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology both from FMU.

I have two children, Andrew (26) and Lauren (20), who both went to McLaurin. When I'm away from school, I enjoy time with my family and friends, baking, and going to the beach.

I look forward to working with our students and McLaurin families in any way I can be of assistance.
